I developed a site analysis and community plan for the Central SoMa neighborhood of San Francisco, CA as part of a studio team. Our team’s plan involved tunneling the currently elevated I-80 freeway in San Francisco and building housing and parks on top of the newly available land.

Public Space Design

I hand drew plan and section graphics of my public realm proposal for a community-oriented park called Commons Park.

Framework Diagrams

I created framework diagrams of our open space and transportation strategies. The transportation frameworks propose new bike and bus infrastructure to promote safe, sustainable transportation. The parks strategy entails creating four distinct park types with different programming elements that all sit on top of the freeway tunnel.

Street Design

For our streets strategy, I created section drawings showing the existing car-dominated landscape and providing a more people-oriented complete street proposal.
