Master of City Planning Capstone Project + Transportation Planning Internship

As a transportation planning intern on the Transit Priority team at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), my primary project is evaluating a Muni bus priority project, the 7 Haight-Noriega Rapid Project. This evaluation will also be my capstone for my Master of City Planning program at UC Berkeley.

I am utilizing Python to analyze raw arrival data to examine bus travel time changes. My analysis will evaluate the impact of each type of project intervention (signal changes, stop relocation, etc). My work will be among the first of a series of transit priority project evaluations, and my findings on the efficacy of project elements will help inform future designs. 

The evaluation is in-progress and a report will be available once completed.
